Yeah. I saw this too. Gradients don't work too well in the new "word that should not be stated" design standards. :)
:) My thought was that it looked like someone dumped it in MSPaint and used the bucket tool to make it blue.
In our days where all computerized devices (even the most basic phones) can display thousands of colours, this just doesn't make sense. I've the feeling MS wants to get back to the old MS-DOS days root... (same goes for the font).
It looks like new discoloring rather than new coloring... :)
